In a city teaming with fine examples of Art Deco architecture, the original Deco style signage of a building is a much rarer find. In the process of researching the Bombay Deco zine, we found some of these typographical gems and began to share them via the #BombayDecoLettering project on Instagram. The resulting alphabet is a short but concise graphic design history of lettering styles from the 1930s to the 1950s.
